Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using ScanLedge ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

ScanLedge provides AI-powered extraction of transactions from Malaysian bank statement PDFs and receipt images, exporting results as Excel files. The Service is intended for accountants, bookkeepers, and business owners.

3. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to register.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One account per user. You may not share accounts or access other users' accounts.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled.
• All fees are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are exclusive of any applicable taxes.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no pro-rated refunds.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
• Usage limits reset at the start of each billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload documents you do not own or are not authorised to process
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to process fraudulent documents
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service infrastructure
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service

6. Accuracy of Extracted Data

ScanLedge uses AI to extract transaction data. While we aim for high accuracy, extracted data may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all exported data before using it for accounting, tax, or financial reporting purposes. ScanLedge is a productivity tool, not a substitute for professional accounting review.

7. Intellectual Property

ScanLedge and its underlying software remain our property. You retain all rights to the documents you upload. Extracted output data belongs to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that extracted data will be 100% accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScanLedge's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
